My vet had me give this to our small dog because he suspected that she had liver problems. We also have a cat that was suffering from itchy skin and we could not figure out what it was (I think is may be allergy to dust mites). The doc suggested to give this tab to the cat as well and I notice a dramatic improvement. Her constant scratching of her face and head stopped. I notice that I can sometimes skip a day but not always. Sometime on the day I skip, I notice that over the night she had been scratching her face up and bleeding. I will give the pill immediately and she will stop scratching shortly after. The doc says it is good for her because of all the amino acids in it. I could probably give her some other supplement, but this is easily given because of it's small size and it is coated. I put it in the back of her throat and close her mouth and massage her throat until in is swallowed. Then I offer her water from the faucet if she needs to wash it down more.
