I started my 8 yr old dog on this after she sustained a shoulder injury. I tried several other joint formulas (cheaper, found at local pet stores) and just didn't see the results that we got with this. I do also supplement her diet with MSM powder & a multi-vitamin powder that has glucosamine in it (by Missing Link), and together, my girl does just fine. I ran out (of all three supplements) once, and she was without all of it for a week...and in that time, her limp came back and her activity level dropped quite noticably.
